Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
We collect as little as possible and never publish contributor email addresses.
What we store
- Account: display name, email, account creation date, contributor status, submission and confirmation counts, trust status, and suspension status.
- Submissions: the compensation data you contribute, plus any optional source URL or file you attach.
- Basic analytics: aggregate, non-identifying usage (page views, searches, filter use) to improve the site.
What we don’t do
- We do not display your email publicly. You choose whether submissions appear under your display name or as “Anonymous contributor.”
- We do not expose contributor identities in analytics.
- We do not require you to prove you are a firefighter, and we don’t ask for unnecessary personal information.
- We ask you not to upload sensitive material (pay stubs, employee numbers, SSNs, medical or disciplinary records). Image metadata is stripped when practical.
Authentication
Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication (Google sign-in and email/password with verification). Their handling of authentication data is governed by Google’s privacy terms.
Your choices
You can update your public display name, switch to anonymous, or request account deletion. Contributed data may remain as preserved revisions in de-identified form after account deletion.
